What is the ANGP?
This fun - filled extravaganza of music, games, prizes and food is sponsored by the PTSA and is a safe, chaperoned, alcohol and drug free event that occurs on graduation night from 11:00 pm until 5:00 am. This celebration/party was initially designed by the Virginia Department of Education in cooperation with the Virginia state Police Association to allow students a safe environment in which they can celebrate their achievement.
In order to do
this, we need your help to make this a reality and a success! This fun and save
environment is organized, funded and staffed by junior and senior parents that
want to see their graduating seniors have a wonderful time while also being in
a safe and organized environment.
Organizing a successful ANGP together
requires a year of preparation. A dedicated committee of volunteers (typically
junior and senior parents) meet each month to schedule and track progress on
the many check list that go into make this event "a must go to"
and successful evening for all.
Cost and Fundraising
As with any successful function, it takes
a lot of money to put on a successful event and this year is no different. One

efforts - and purchase of these great products is strongly encouraged. Help
during the Spring Mulch Sale is critical as this is the biggest source of
fundraising revenue and requires significant manpower by students and
In addition to the fundraising efforts, the ANGP Committee depends on sponsors to help provide food and prizes. We welcome anyone interested in gathering the support of neighborhood establishments.
WE ENCOURAGE YOU ALL TO GET INVOLVED!!! In order to make
this evening work, we need 200 volunteers. The amount of time that you can
commit can vary so don’t worry if you only have a limited amount of time. We need you to help and make this a
celebration to remember!

JUNIOR PARENT: HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Junior parent volunteers are needed to put up decorations the night of the party since Senior Parents will be at the graduation ceremony. We also need your help in picking up donations for that evening and delivering them to the party site. Junior parents, by being involved this year, you will help make your "celebration" next year, a guaranteed success.
